I might be the president of the 95% club. I mean, it's a job no one asked for but someone has to do it, right? If you don't know, the 95% club is the special group of people who do a task/project/renovation/whatever to 95% completion then move on to the next. No project is ever finished but its functional and just needs paint touch-up or drywall repair. I know I'm not the only member of this club but I have come up with a few different tricks to finishing a project before mov

What is it about having a deadline that makes you get it all together and get it done. There is nothing like a looming finish line that make me more motivated. My husband does not quite understand this lovely adhd procrastination hack and loves to tell me we'll have a big party when the house it finish.....I can't convince him that the house will be finished once the big party is on the calendar. My Mom has agreed to come stay the night on Mother's Day to watch L while we go

What a year this has been! It's only April but I feel like this year has disappeared and gone at a snails pace all at the same time. 2026 has been a weird but fun year. I'm so interested to see what the rest of the year has in store but for now, let's take it one step at a time. Why is it so hard to get back into things once there has beena speed bump? I am finally at the point where I can start putting the room back together. Today is a wierd day and a short day so I'm just hoping to get the space clean and primed. I hope I didn't screw it up by using the wrong waterproofer but we'll find out soon.... I think it will all be ok... So what happened was....I used flexseal waterproofer thinking I could prime over it. But after I applied it I read that it was not made for a coating to be put on top. The finish of the flexseal i

I feel like it should be illegal to post a construction update without any photos but here we are. Sorry. In my defense there really isn't much to show... After I removed the toilet, expecting to find a new tiny leak at the wax ring, I discovered that the leak was much bigger than I thought so I removed a small section of the floor. Then needed to remove a little more and a little more. I had a few of the floor tiles in the garage but not enough to fill in all the spots I wou
